valor cwFURTHER THOUGHTS FROM CRAIG

Most Surprising (Possible) Renewal: It’s The CW. Nothing would surprise me at this point. Well, Valor or Life Sentence would, but I really don’t think they’ll be back.

Show That Likely Won’t Be Renewed But Should Be: This one’s hard, because again, I think almost anything that has the potential of coming back will come back. I’m feeling pretty strongly that The 100 will return, so maybe iZombie would fall into this category, especially if Rob Thomas’ End Of The World As We Know It happens.

Possible Scheduling Disaster: 4 or 5 DC shows at a time is overkill. I know I included that many on my schedule. But eventually, people are going to grow weary, and hopefully, they don’t drop all of the series all at once. Hopefully, The CW’s schedule can diversify, and if they do pick up new DC projects in the future, they will be different enough from what is already existing.

Possible Biggest Surprise: I know Jennie Urman surprised the world with Jane the Virgin, but my big surprise will be if the Charmed reboot is any good. There’s so much love for the original “power of three” out there, that I’m not sure that the world will accept any substitutes. On the flip side, I would not be shocked if the new Roswell hits the network with the same excitement that The Vampire Diaries did in 2009.

Safest Bet: Multi-show DC crossover in November or December!

Project I’m Rooting For: Roswell. I’ve known writer Carina Adly MacKenzie for several years and I know she is full of ideas, also knowing how to get into the mindset of a fan like her mentor, Julie Plec, who directed the pilot. Yes, there’s the possibility of comparison to the original show, but do recall that series lasted only 3 years and only 1 or 2 of them were particularly beloved.
