SHILO: I was very wrong about MacGyver, it turns out. I didn’t think that putting it on in the fall was the smartest move when you had to basically rebuild the show from the bottom up during the summer. However, it exceeded my expectations and became a pretty solid part of the Friday schedule, both on its own and what it did for Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods. It was worth moving The Amazing Race for MacGyver and that move probably gave enough life to the 9:00 and 10:00 shows that this night won’t be one for CBS to fret about next year.
CRAIG: CBS Friday nights work, and a show like Hawaii Five-0 actually improved in the ratings vs. last year. No need to change it, this year, at least.
