cbs life in piecesFURTHER THOUGHTS FROM CRAIG

Most Surprising (Possible) Renewal: Most surprising renewal would probably be Code Black, though I think there’s a case to be made for its return. I still don’t think Life in Pieces is as strong of a player as they seem to think it is, but its return wouldn’t surprise me as much as Code Black would.

CSI: Cyber getting renewed would surprise me, even though there’s that international type talk. We already know Ted Danson is leaving, but is there anything they really could do to have people talking? Even an Oscar winner, Dawson, and Bow Wow don’t seem to be bringing in viewers.

Show That Likely Won’t Be Renewed But Should Be: Again, going with Code Black, because I’d like to think both Supergirl and Limitless are “likely renewed.”

Possible Scheduling Disaster: I think the scariest place for CBS right now would be the 10:00 slot on any night not occupied by Blue Bloods. For whatever reason, that hour seems the hardest to crack for most networks. The right moves could help; the wrong ones could spell disaster.

Possible Biggest Surprise: CSI: Cyber coming back would be pretty darn surprising. Also, what if the not-buzzed-about-much-at-all-anymore MacGyver were to be picked up… by The CW, to fulfill their CBS requirements? That would be surprising. Though since I’m mentioning it, maybe it wouldn’t be.

Safest Bet: Bull will land on the schedule. CBS loves Michael Weatherly.

Project I’m Rooting For: Supergirl, duh. Of the new shows? Drew, just because I like Sarah Shahi and I like Nancy Drew.
