CRAIG: Last Man Standing should continue to lead off the night, because even though no one talks about it, it’s doing all right there. 8:30, I’d put on Fonzie’s Family – I mean, the Winklers. There hasn’t been a lot of buzz lately for that one, so maybe it’s dead, but maybe it’s not. Still, ABC could do worse in that hour than the biggest sitcom star of the 90’s with the biggest sitcom star of the 70’s. Then again, I haven’t heard much about the show, and something like Saint Francis seems to have more buzz, so maybe that, instead, will get that 8:30 nod.
I think ABC should keep The Neighbors on deck, though, in case The Winklers or whatever other comedy they inevitably put on Friday nights doesn’t fly.
9PM – Shark Tank, even though I still want a new TGIF eventually. 10PM – 20/20.
SHILO: So, Shark Tank stays put on Fridays and continues giving a boost to 20/20, likely keeping ABC on top of the Friday dogpile for at least another season. With Last Man Standing staying put at 8:00 and heading into its fourth season (and eventually, syndication), the network could continue the push into multi-cam comedy that Tuesdays began and utilize Saint Francis, a Michael Imperioli-starrer with a premise (blue-collar guy butting heads with the modern world) that sounds the most compatible with Last Man. The only other real possibility for the slot is The Winklers, since the other multi-cams don’t sound like they fit and putting a single-cam with a multi-cam is suicide, but we’ve seen that a big name (e.g. Michael J. Fox, Robin Williams) and a comeback story doesn’t necessarily mean big success. Therefore, I say ABC chance it and go with the more compatible show rather than the one with the biggest star.
OTHER THOUGHTS
CRAIG: There are some other projects that seem to have some buzz – like The Visitors/The Whispers and Secrets & Lies – but at the time of making this prospective schedule, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where exactly they’d belong. So, we’ll see; maybe Paul Lee and his team will figure out something that works. Maybe midseason? Timeslot sharing? We shall see.
SHILO: ABC midseason is such a crapshoot that I cannot begin to try and figure out what they’re going to do. All I know is that ABC is going to order quite a few shows, probably the most of any network, and they’ll be staggered throughout the entirety of the 2014-2015 season. The most interesting issue facing the network, though, is whether they’ll renew an in-house comedy for next season. Currently, the five most likely comedy renewals are produced by studios other than ABC, with the three ABC comedies still in contention all especially low-rated. I would renew The Neighbors, since it’s the closest to syndication and could be a decent Friday fill-in if what ABC slots there fails, but there’s a chance ABC just clears the table and starts over. Just how low can an in-house series fall in the ratings and still continue on?

I agree with Sunday’s Schedules although I would pair up Resurrection to share a time slot with Agatha. Hahaha in the Fall and Resurrection in the Spring.
Monday should stay as is.
Tuesday will be interesting SHIELD is likely moving to 9pm, with Agent Carter running midseason in that slot and SHIELD picking up after the Oscars. I think The Visitors sharing the 10pm slot with Secrets and Lies being congruent with Agent Carter would work well. The 8pm slot will be tricky maybe Cristela and
Wednesday needs more stability. Maybe The Goldbergs at 8:30 and Anthony Anderson’s comedy and 9:30. At 10 I would air Nashville for 10-13 episodes and air The Club midseason.
Thursday, yep exactly what you guys did.
Friday St.Francis at 8:30 because it is in house and fits the tone of Last Man Standing. Shark Tank and 20/20 as is.
