    ABC’s 2014-2015 Schedule: Thoughts & Predictions

ABC will be announcing their new 2014-2015 TV schedule on Tuesday, May 13, and, as per usual, they haven’t revealed much as far as renewals and cancellations go, so the days leading up to that should be pretty interesting.

Last year, we (we being KSiteTV’s Craig Byrne and Shilo Adams) put together a column/fantasy schedule for the new year, with what we think might happen or should happen; this year, we’re back at it again. Expect a column for each network every day of the week this week. And, of course, we’ll be back here next week with the actual schedule.

    Enjoy:

    GINNIFER GOODWIN, JOSH DALLASSUNDAY

SHILO: While I wouldn’t necessarily blame ABC for trying a new fall drama after Once Upon a Time, carrying Resurrection over from midseason would hopefully stop the ratings bleeding the family drama experienced for every nearly every episode in its initial order. It’d get a boost from airing in a more highly watched time of year and could become a reliably solid option for the network, able to face down the likes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones without completely folding. At 10:00, the only real option is what should be the final season of Revenge; ABC’s not had any luck with this particular time slot since the conclusion of Brothers & Sisters, so rather than throwing another new soapy drama at the wall and hoping it sticks, it’d be wise to shepherd the formerly buzzy drama into syndication. The night would have a sense of stability, since the 9:00 hour would be undergoing a transition at midseason, and Revenge could get some extra eyes once people know that Emily Thorne’s quest for vengeance has a definitive end.

KURTWOOD SMITH, LANDON GIMENEZ, FRANCES FISHERCRAIG: Like it seems you are also saying, I think there was a lot that was done right with ABC’ s midseason schedule this year. America’s Funniest Videos at 7, Once Upon A Time at 8, Resurrection at 9, and Revenge at 10. Having Resurrection there would be something familiar that can grow in what is already a very competitive timeslot.

However, I might have Resurrection timeslot-share with something new, like perhaps Clementine, which has a lead character that in another lifetime could have hung out with Emma Swan OR Emily Thorne. This could prevent repeats and provide something fresh at midseason.

With Revenge being up to Season 4, I, too, assume this might be the end, unless the show has some great ratings renaissance.

Let’s get on with the rest of the week, shall we? Navigate below:

I agree with Sunday’s Schedules although I would pair up Resurrection to share a time slot with Agatha. Hahaha in the Fall and Resurrection in the Spring.

      Monday should stay as is.

Tuesday will be interesting SHIELD is likely moving to 9pm, with Agent Carter running midseason in that slot and SHIELD picking up after the Oscars. I think The Visitors sharing the 10pm slot with Secrets and Lies being congruent with Agent Carter would work well. The 8pm slot will be tricky maybe Cristela and

Wednesday needs more stability. Maybe The Goldbergs at 8:30 and Anthony Anderson’s comedy and 9:30. At 10 I would air Nashville for 10-13 episodes and air The Club midseason.

Thursday, yep exactly what you guys did.

Friday St.Francis at 8:30 because it is in house and fits the tone of Last Man Standing. Shark Tank and 20/20 as is.
