For the second season of Once Upon A Time, the producers and writers of the show will be visiting a more recent Disney legend.
Following in the footsteps of Beauty and the Beast’s Belle, who was played by Emilie de Ravin and will be a series regular in Season 2, we now have Hangover 2 and Sucker Punch actress Jamie Chung being cast as the legendary warrior Mulan. Entertainment Weekly’s EW.com broke the news today, with the detail that the role will be a recurring one.
Mulan was the subject of an animated feature in 1998 with Ming-Na voicing the title role.
Once Upon A Time Season 2 begins this Fall on ABC.

Eh….I’m kind of wary. I mean, wasn’t she on that ABC Family Kung Fu princess show? I don’t recall her being that great…maybe she’s gotten better IDK. Besides that, I don’t like how much Disney is in this show. The best episodes for me our the ones that don’t play with Disney versions. I love their mad hatter for instance–completely different from Disney!liveaction and Disney!animated.
How disappointing for you that this show has too much Disney…considering it’s on a network owned by Disney. Sadface.
