Ever since Xavier came into her life, Evie has spent a majority of her time with him. The connection they’ve formed has been surprising to her, given how she had always lived her life conservatively and in fear of spontaneity, but it’s a connection that has only deepened with time and shared experience. Every item they’ve crossed off their respective apocalysts, every time each has been pushed out of their respective comfort zones has allowed them to grow as individuals and as a couple. Though they’ve only spent a short time together, it’s a time that has fully been maximized due to how quickly they’ve become devoted to one another and how much they’ve gotten out of having the other there.
On tonight’s episode of No Tomorrow, Xavier takes another step toward immersing himself in Evie’s life by taking a job at Cybermart. Granted, it’s a good thing in the sense that Xavier needs the money, and he’s taking the job with the positive intention of wanting more time with an overworked Evie, but not only does this infringe on Evie’s time to focus on said work and spend time with her friends, it throws the entirety of Cybermart into a tailspin. Xavier’s presence and subsequent rhetoric quickly rallies his fellow employees into a strike, thereby throwing Evie’s professional life off balance. It’s one thing for Xavier to not understand the boundaries that every relationship needs; it’s a whole other thing entirely for him to possibly mess with Evie’s progress at Cybermart, as her indirectly introducing him (and the chaos he tends to bring) will reflect poorly on her. Coming on the heels of her inclusion into the Cyber Hugs program, it’s just not a good look to have this type of disruptive force attached to her, but will Evie have it in her to fire someone who’s been a positive influence in her life?
Elsewhere on No Tomorrow, Kareema resolves to finally confront her feelings for Sofia and in accordance, makes a bold move.
