With only months remaining until an asteroid collides with Earth, it’s understandable that Xavier would be big on honesty. There’s no sense in tiptoeing around when life as he knows it will be destroyed in a matter of months, so any thought Evie (or anyone else in his life) has of sparing his feelings or keeping things to themselves should be quickly forgotten. Xavier might not hear what he wants or needs by demanding this of his loved ones, but getting things out into the open goes along with his philosophy since discovering the asteroid, a way of life that has mostly served him well thus far. While there’s no time like the present to work through whatever issues might be bubbling in his personal relationships, what happens when Xavier discovers a secret he had no idea was coming?

On the next episode of No Tomorrow, a lie detector test uncovers a hurtful secret that damages Xavier’s ego and trust in Evie. Not only does he have to deal with the possibility of Evie not being satisfied sexually by their physical relationship, Xavier has to work through the fact that she didn’t tell him what she was thinking. Thus far, the two have been pretty open and honest with one another, so this is the first real breach of the romantic transparency that has defined their relationship in these early stages. To top that off, Evie withheld the truth from him and willfully stayed unhappy, which is a big no-no in Xavier’s new worldview. If nothing else, he wants Evie to seize the day and live with as much happiness and contentment as possible before the asteroid comes; it’s one thing for her to hide something from him, but if what she’s hiding pertains to him not performing his boyfriend-ly duties as best as he could, there’s going to be a certain amount of guilt for him to grapple with. But is Xavier ready (and capable) of facing said guilt, along with the frustration of Evie not being truthful with him, or will it all be too much to handle?

Elsewhere on No Tomorrow, Kareema tries to comfort Rohan after he learns about her engagement, while Hank works to win back Deirdre.

No Tomorrow airs Tuesdays at 9:00 on The CW.

Will Evie and Xavier be able to move past her damaging secret? How long will it take for Rohan to come around and forgive Kareema and Sofia? Is Hank ever going to get through to Deirdre and show her how much she means to him?
