Syfy has released a new trailer for upcoming space drama Nightflyers and in it, we see that close quarters can breed contempt, even between people whose survival depends on trusting one another.
Based on the George R. R. Martin novella and developed for television by Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train), Nightflyers follows a group of maverick scientists and a powerful telepath in 2093 as they embark on an expedition toward making contact with mysterious alien life. While on the way, though, a series of violent events causes the group to become more paranoid and begin distrusting one another.
Set to premiere later this year, the series stars Eoin Macken (The Night Shift), Sam Strike (EastEnders), Maya Eshet (Teen Wolf), Angus Sampson (Fargo), Jodie Turner-Smith (The Last Ship), Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire), David Ajala (Falling Water), and Brian F. O’Byrne (Million Dollar Baby).
Nightflyers joins a scripted slate for Syfy that includes Wynonna Earp, Killjoys, Channel Zero, The Magicians, Van Helsing, Z Nation, and Krypton.
