Deadline is reporting that NBC supernatural drama Midnight Texas has added Lost alum Nestor Carbonell, Jaime Ray Newman (The Magicians), and UnREAL‘s Josh Kelly.
Carbonell will be playing magnetic holistic healer Kai, who doesn’t convince all of the Midnighters of the validity of his gifts; Newman is set as Kai’s wife Patience, who approaches these new surroundings in a more savvy way than her husband and who immediately takes a liking to Manfred; and Kelly will portray openly gay demon hunter Walker, whose intense mutual attraction with Joe gets them both into trouble.
In addition to his role on the ABC drama, Carbonell has appeared on the likes of Bates Motel, Suddenly Susan, and State of Affairs, while Newman’s television credits include Red Widow, The Punisher, and Wicked City. For his part, Kelly has been featured on One Life to Live, The Night Shift, and Ben and Kate.
Season two of Midnight Texas is set to premiere Friday, October 26th at 9:00 on NBC.
