In what is now the third time the property has been proposed for television, Deadline is reporting that NBC is again developing a TV series based on the DC Comics/Vertigo series Midnight, Mass.
The series, created by John Rozum, is based around a husband and wife paranormal investigator team. Two miniseries were published, in 2002 and 2004.
This time around, Midnight, Mass. is being developed for television by Snow White And The Huntsman co-writer Evan Daugherty. It will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Gerber Pictures, with Bill Gerber executive producing.
Creator John Rozum, who will be an executive consultant on the project, sounds optimistic. “This is the third time that this has happened and hopefully this time will be the charm that sees this come to fruition. I’m a bit more hopeful this time with the talent involved,” he says.
Now, will someone revive the notion of a Global Frequency TV series already?
