Before it was a TV series on FOX, Lucifer was a comic book published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint, itself a spin-off from Neil Gaiman’s popular Sandman series.
It was in Sandman that the character of Lucifer Morningstar was introduced.
Now, with Lucifer premiering on FOX this Monday, January 25 with Tom Ellis playing the Lucifer character, DC All Access has taken a special look at the comic book history of the character, following his journey from the four-color world to being brought to our television screens.
