Rachel Keller (Fargo) has landed the female lead role in the FX pilot Legion which has ties to the X-Men universe.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Keller’s character is described as “a scrappy and optimistic woman in her 20s.” Details on the character and any potential powers are under wraps, though THR notes that she “may be an incarnation of Rogue and Spyke.”

Here’s how FX describes the project, which has already been ordered to pilot:

The pilot introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

In the comic books, Haller is the son of Charles Xavier, founder of the X-Men. That role has not yet been cast.
