Acclaimed FX drama Legion has added Said Taghmaoui (Wonder Woman) to its upcoming 10-episode second season. Taghmaoui will be playing Amahl Farouk, a villain whose real form is of a nattily dressed dandy with a Clark Gable mustache and ornate sunglasses. With his thousand faces, Farouk seems to amass as much power as possible by any means necessary.
Farouk (aka the Shadow King) is no stranger to Legion, though, as he’s already shown himself through Lenny and haunted the entire cast of characters. His closest relationship, though, is with David, whose head he lived in for years and who he convinced of his own insanity.
In addition to his role in the summer blockbuster, Taghmaoui has appeared on the likes of The Missing, Touch, and Lost. He joins a cast that includes Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), and Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Concords), among others.
The second season of Legion will premiere next year on FX. A more precise premiere date should become available in the next few months.
