Showtime has released additional trailers for upcoming dramedy Kidding and in them, we see a beloved children’s entertainer coming apart at the seams.
From Dave Holstein (Weeds) and Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind),Kidding follows Jeff (Carrey), a children’s entertainer whose alter ego Mr. Pickles has made an indelibly positive impression on his young audience.The head of a million dollar branding empire, Jeff is forced to reassess everything when his family begins imploding and his quality of life deteriorates faster than his ability to cope.
In addition to Carrey,Kiddingstars Catherine Keener (Into the Wild), Frank Langella (The Americans), and Judy Greer (Archer).The series will be Showtime’s second current half-hour show, joining acclaimed dramedySMILF, as well as Carrey’s first series regular television role since 1984’s The Duck Factory.
Kidding is set to premiere Sunday, September 9th at 10:00 on Showtime.
