Deadline is reporting that AMC dark comedy Kevin Can F*** Himself has added Kirstie alum Eric Petersen, Mary Hollis Inboden (The Real O’Neals), and Superstore‘s Alex Bonifer.
From Valerie Armstrong (Lodge 49), Kevin Can F*** Himself alternates between single-camera realism and multi-camera comedy to delve into the secret rage of a sitcom wife (Annie Murphy) looking to escape her confines and take the lead in her own life. The series will ask the world to look at life through her eyes while revealing truths about an archetype we all thought we knew.
Petersen will play Kevin, the unambitious husband of Murphy’s Allison who’s content with working as a cable guy. Inboden is set as Kevin and Allison’s neighbor Patty, while Bonifer will portray Patty’s brother and Kevin’s best friend Neil.
Kevin Can F*** Himself is part of an upcoming scripted slate for AMC that includes Walking Dead spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond, legal drama 61st Street, and romantic sci-fi anthology Soulmates.
In addition to his role on the TV Land comedy, Petersen’s television credits include Sydney to the Max, Kirby Buckets, and GCB. Inboden has appeared on the likes of Shrill, The Righteous Gemstones, and American Princess, while this will be Bonifer’s second television credit after Superstore.
