The Flash/Arrow crossover where heroes join forces is now only two days away, starting on Tuesday, December 1, and here at KSiteTV, we have another interview conducted on the show’s set, as we share our group interview with Teddy Sears, who plays Jay Garrick, The Flash of Earth-Two, on the popular CW series.
In the process, we got some very important questions answered by the actor, who will be appearing in the upcoming crossover. Below, find some highlights.
How difficult is it to keep that helmet on when Jay Garrick is running around?
That’s a really good question! The guys have figured out, at this point, a way to keep it on, but at first, we had this whole fight scene coordinated for Episode Two between Sand Demon and myself, and we worked on it for hours, and then when we went to shoot it, we realized that once the helmet went on, right after the first swing, the helmet was just gonna go that way. And so, we had to change it up on the fly.
We also have helmets of different weights. We have plastic helmets, we have rubber helmets… I think they have it pretty dialed in at this point. We’ve had enough trial and error to, I guess, get it into kind of a sweet spot.
Were there any heroes on Earth-Two, like a “society” of people that Jay might have hung out with?
A… Justice Society? By all accounts, probably, but it hasn’t been told to me. It hasn’t been fleshed out. This is what’s fun. There’s a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of places that we could go. Earth-Two is just one of 52 earths. I know we’re just in Season Two, but we really can come and go in all sorts of great directions. They just don’t tell me anything! I’m just happy to be here.
You can see the full interview below. Among other things, Teddy sees that Jay Garrick is displayed on the mural at the Central City police precinct. He also talks about the previous interactions between Harrison Wells of Earth-Two and Jay, the relationship between Caitlin and Jay and whether or not there might be mistletoe in their future, dealing with the loss of his speed, Jay’s interactions with Barry, and more. Keep in mind this interview was conducted several weeks ago, so some talk of “the future” has already happened.
