Lindsey Morgan‘s Raven was a later addition to The 100, not even hitting the ground until recently, but already, she has become a fan favorite character that has greatly changed the dynamics of the [now less than] 100 young people on the ground. As Lindsey would put it, Raven “hit the ground running. Or the ground hit her, and then she ran.”
We spoke with the actress at the recent WonderCon convention in Anaheim, California to get some details about what’s coming up for Raven and the crew.
“The priority right now is to get to the Ark, and talk to the Ark, and let them know ‘hey, we’re alive, we’re all right! We’re okay! Stop killing everyone. Please don’t do it.’ So that’s definitely the priority,” she tells us about Raven and the others’ goals. “It’s hard because they’re so limited on Earth, but Raven’s a great asset and her mind in making things work, and now that they have the pod, which [has] more resources that they can utilize. The radio comes back into play, and we try to work on that again,” she teases. “It’s essential.”
Morgan also talked about the love triangle that has formed now that Raven’s boyfriend, Finn, slept with Clarke while believing he’d never see Raven again. Who does Lindsey ‘ship? The answer may surprise you.
“I want Finn and Clarke to be together,” she laughs. “Taking me out of the picture, when I’m watching it, I’m like ‘it’s so good!’ I actually like this triangle, too, because it’s not so cliche in the fact that ‘she took her man, ooh, she’s messed up.’ It’s not that. It’s actually very complicated. Finn had no idea. It’s like if your boyfriend went to Mars and shacked up with an alien; would you be that mad? I mean, he never thought he would see you again! It does make sense of how that happened. It does suck, though, because not that much time has gone by. But come on. So that’s upsetting. But at the same time, Finn and Raven have been together their entire lives. They started out best friends living next door to each other in the beginning, and then that involved into a relationship, so they’re kind of all each other knows. Even with that aspect, I think they very much love each other, but they may not be still in love with each other. So, it makes sense as to why he suddenly has become very attracted to Clarke. It’s a whole new world; a whole new adventure.”
