The 200th episode of The CW’s Supernatural airs in exactly one week (November 11) with an episode called “Fan Fiction” that pays tribute to the 199 episodes that have come before.
We caught up with Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) on the red carpet for the show’s 200th episode party in Vancouver, British Columbia, to find out if this success was something he saw coming.
“No, I didn’t,” he admitted. “And I don’t think you ever do, and I don’t think it’s still really set in just yet. Jared and I talked about the fact that we’ve been at war for 200 episodes, and it’s not like we won the war, we packed it up, and we’re heading back home, and we get to reflect on it. We’re still in the fox hole. We’re still in the trenches. We’re still slugging it out every day. We’re on episode 209 right now. So I feel like it’s kind of the whole ‘success happens when you’re too busy to notice,’ but right now we’re too busy to notice,” he told us.
“When the show is over, whenever that is, and then we can sit back and look at it then, I might have more of something to say about it, but right now, 200 is a great milestone. It really just felt like another episode. We just kinda plowed right through it and kept going,” he continued.
In addition to episode 200 talk, Jensen talked about how gracious he’s been to have been able to direct for Supernatural, and he talks about what it was to get to play Demon Dean. You can find the video below.

Jensen Ackles is fantastic. For me the best character in the show is Dean Winchester. Jensen rocks as Dean and congrats for making it to the 200th+ episode. I’d love to seem more DemonDean, gone too fast and sorely missed, but Jensen’s Dean is truly iconic.

Loved Jensen as Deamon he Rocked!!! Was great seeing him play another facet of Dean and watch Sam walk a little more in his brothers shoes… Wish Demon Dean would have stuck around longer as well.. Something tell me with that mark still alive and kicking he may not be completely gone yet! Congrats on 200 epis guys.
