Two of the younger recruits in Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. are Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons, better known together as “FitzSimmons,” a sibling-like duo that we’ll see in the upcoming Joss Whedon-directed pilot which is set in the Marvel Universe. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres September 24 on ABC, and it should hit all of the right fan-person buttons.
The actors who play “Fitz” and “Simmons,” Iain de Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge, came out together to participate in roundtable interviews at this year’s Comic-Con, and we’ve got some video from the table. Unfortunately, the sound quality isn’t the best as it was a very loud room with a bit of background noise, and we had a little camera mishap at one point, but you’ll forgive us for that, right?
“I loved the action, and I was always there at midnight for the first showing,” Elizabeth Henstridge said to us about the Marvel world of movies, which includes The Avengers. “Since hearing about the show, and doing more research into it, I just love that whole world. It’s crazy that it’s there, and we’ve been welcomed so warmly into it. It’s something that I’m definitely very excited to keep reading and keep exploring,” she said.
Her co-star de Caestecker also had seen The Avengers multiple times and always seems impressed with Joss Whedon’s ability to handle groups of characters and relationships.
You can see the video below. Look for more from Henstridge here at KSiteTV soon, as we spoke to her at the recent ABC TCA press tour, and for more on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., visit our portal for the show at SHIELDsite.net.
