Executive Producers Preview Tonight’s Person Of Interest: “Lady Killer”

Tonight’s episode of Person Of Interest, airing at 10PM on CBS, offers a new team-up in the world of the show, as the ladies – Carter, Shaw, and guest star Paige Turco as Zoe Morgan – team up to go undercover to bait a chameleon playboy who seems to be the bad guy in this story. Or is he? Meanwhile, Root’s escape plan comes to fruition.

lady4-300x199The episode was screened yesterday for press, and following, Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman participated in a Q&A about what it was like to get the ladies together for a team-up.

“The fun thing about introducing new characters is that you have new relationships,” Nolan explained to us, talking about how the show has been expanding since Season One. “You get a chance to see those three ladies together, which is just great, fun, unique spin on what they do, putting them all in the same situation,” he continued.Amanda Segel wrote “Lady Killer” and Greg Plageman pointed out that “she even snuck a kiss in there,” inspiring Nolan to joke about a “no kissing policy.”

“It’s a bit of a departure in tone with that story for us, which is a lot of fun,” Plageman added. “Every time we bring Paige back, it seems to bring a different sort of chemistry. Sarah lets her hair down. It’s all over more fun, too. I think everyone kind of looked at it as a little bit of a fun departure,” he said.

first-promo-photo1“Everyone gets to get out of the tactical clothing for an episode, which I think is also a little bit of a fun thing,” Nolan added. “As long as we can counter that with Root shooting people,” Plageman noted.

“Lady Killer” is a “ladies’ night” episode that, as mentioned before, also includes some major moments for Amy Acker’s Root character. Although it is a standalone episode that can be easily followed, the episode does involve some character-building, especially for a character such as Carter. Speaking for ourselves, having seen the episode, “Lady Killer” is a great mix between a procedural mystery and an over-arching ongoing storyline.
And, of course, it all comes back to Root, as Jonathan Nolan teased with one line:

“Never understimate a strong woman who has access to networked artificial intelligence!”

Person Of Interest “Lady Killer” airs tonight at 10PM (ET) on CBS. Below find a preview for the episode:

Enough of Root. This may be the last episode we watch if she continues on the show. Love the ladies and Bear, but Root has hung on too long. She must go.

I am a Shaw hater, but she was decent in this episode. I like how everyone used their skills to get things done. I just hate the way the producers shoved her down everyone’s throats to prove she’s valuable to the team. That Shaw love has to stop.

Root’s fine with me because she’s interesting. However, i don’t see her sticking around past this season. I don’t see how they can stretch this any longer.
