Ezra, Richard, and Jules joined forces in hopes of apprehending Maddie and bringing her to justice. They would use their knowledge and memories of Alice/Ava/Cici in order to piece together where she could be hiding and ultimately mend their broken hearts; after letting their former wives know how her betrayal impacted them, they would throw her to the criminal justice system and exorcise the last of the demons that still haunted them. This whole journey has turned into a bit of extensive, unorthodox group therapy, as Ezra, Richard, and Jules have found comfort in their commonality of experience, and something that can ultimately be rewarding despite what obstacles comes in the way of success. But for as much progress as Ezra, Richard, and Jules have made in such a short time, how will they handle the possibility of catching Maddie becoming more real?
On the next episode of Imposters, Ezra, Richard, and Jules are closing in on Maddie after tracking her IP address and realizing that she’s now located in Seattle. They don’t exactly have her in their clutches just yet, but figuring out the city she’s in is the first big hurdle they had to cross if they had any hope of seeing her again. Understandably, catching Maddie becoming a more tangible goal vs. merely the idea it was when they first got together does a number on both the group dynamic and individual psyches of Ezra, Richard, and Jules; while the possibility of having to face the unresolved issues they have with their former wives brings anxiety and tension to the group, so much so that they begin getting wrapped up in the con lifestyle as a subconscious way of stalling the eventual meetup with Maddie, there’s the lingering uncertainty as to how they handle her as a group once they actually catch her. They don’t really know who the person they’re trying to nab actually is, nor do they know how they’ll feel about her or how their anger toward her will manifest until she’s directly in front of them, so they’re going to have to have a plan of what to do upon cornering her or things will all fall apart after all the work they did.
Elsewhere on Imposters, Lenny cleans up Sally’s mess with Gary, while The Doctor gives Maddie a new mark.
Imposters airs Tuesdays at 10:00 on Bravo.
Will Ezra, Richard, and Jules get too wrapped up in the con lifestyle and lose sight of the reason they got together in the first place? How will Lenny cleaning up the botched job impact Maddie’s standing with The Doctor? Is The Doctor going to find a mark for Maddie that will be easier to clean out than Gary?
