Lolly was dealt a harsh dose of reality on Thanksgiving when she came face to face with her potential future. She might love Aunt Libby for her brazenness and her inability to care about what other people think of her, but she doesn’t want to end up alone at that age. While the idea of tossing men aside before they get too close might seem freeing, as she’d no longer think she’d have to be in a relationship to feel complete, Lolly wants to be with someone at the end of the day. She wants someone to lean on and to have someone in her life who gets her, so inadvertently, Libby’s talk of never committing and focusing on things other than love has pushed her to give Kevin a real chance.
On tonight’s episode of Hindsight, Becca invites Lolly to a rave she has to attend for the magazine. Instead of it being a best friends outing where the two bond over dance music and party drugs, Becca becomes the third wheel when Lolly immediately invites Kevin to come along. Things would have been awkward enough if this was just Lolly inviting some random guy to the party, but Becca’s past with Kevin has made it impossible for her to relax around him. She knows something about him that Lolly doesn’t and that’s going to impede the time they have at the rave; given her history with Kevin, Becca now has a choice to make regarding what to tell her best friend about the guy she’s giving her all with. If Becca is honest, it could facilitate the implosion of their friendship, while if she doesn’t tell Lolly what she knows, she might be setting her friend up for a major heartbreak down the road. As much as Becca wants to do the right thing now that she has a second chance at life, is there even a right thing to do in this scenario? Or is she now forced to pick between the lesser of two evils?
Elsewhere on Hindsight, Sean gets an unexpected job offer from Paige, though he’s more concerned with who he’ll be working alongside.
