The fifth episode of Grimm Season 2, titled “The Good Shepherd,” was supposed to air on Monday night, September 10 — but now, thanks to an extended episode of The Voice and an early premiere for The New Normal, Grimm will have to wait.
The new air date for “The Good Shepherd” will be Friday, September 28.
Here’s the press release from the network:
NBC ADDS PREVIEW OF NEW COMEDY “THE NEW NORMAL” ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 TO FOLLOW SEASON DEBUT OF “THE VOICE”
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – September 4, 2012 – NBC will add a series preview of its new comedy “The New Normal” on Monday, September 10 (10-10:30 p.m. ET) following the season premiere of “The Voice” (8-10 p.m. ET). “The New Normal” will premiere in its regular day and time on the following night – Tuesday, September 11 (9:30-10 p.m. ET) – with a new episode.
In addition, the preview pilot of the series will have an encore broadcast on Wednesday, September 12 (10:30-11 p.m. ET), giving “The New Normal” three consecutive days of broadcasts.
These days, families come in all forms – single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors… It’s 2012 and anything goes. Bryan (Andrew Rannells, “Girls,” “The Book of Mormon”) and David (Justin Bartha, “The Hangover”) are a Los Angeles couple and they have it all. Well, almost. With successful careers and a committed, loving partnership, there is one thing that this couple is missing: a baby. And just when they think the stars will never align, enter Goldie (Georgia King, “One Day”), an extraordinary young woman with a checkered past. A midwestern waitress and single mother looking to escape her dead-end life and small-minded grandmother (Emmy and Tony Award-winner Ellen Barkin), Goldie decides to change everything and move to L.A. with her precocious eight year-old daughter. Desperate and broke – but also fertile – Goldie quickly becomes the guys’ surrogate and quite possibly the girl of their dreams. Surrogate mother, surrogate family.
Ryan Murphy serves as creator/executive producer and director along with creator/executive producer Ali Adler (“Glee,” “Chuck”) and executive producer Dante Di Loreto (“Glee,” “American Horror Story”). “The New Normal” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ryan Murphy Productions.

Well, that is good and bad.
Good, because DISH and my local NBC affiliate are having difficulties playing together, and so NBC has been blocked. No Grimm tonight means I don’t have to wait to watch it online. Hopefully, by Sept. 28, they will have their difficulties worked out.
Bad, because I have plans on Friday, Sept. 28, and I won’t be able to watch it that night.
