OWN has released the trailer for season three of megachurch drama Greenleaf and in it, we see that a house divided shall not stand.
Season three ofGreenleaffinds Lady Mae and Bishop at odds over his full-blown affair with Mavis and this new connection he’s seemed to form with Rochelle, whose ulterior motives are yet to be revealed to the family.This rift with her husband forces Lady Mae and her tremendous survival instinct to reconnect with old friend (and current Christian motivational speaker) Maxine (Patti LaBelle) with the intention of becoming the sole head pastor at the church.
Meanwhile, Grace goes to work trying to suss out Rochelle’s true motivations; Jacob and Kerissa continue building their following at Triumph, hoping to avoid the same mistakes that Lady Mae and Bishop made; Charity struggles to make peace with Kevin and the feeling that she’s yet to truly find her place in the world; and Sophia’s newfound sense of faith is tested when an unforeseen medical issue arises.
In addition to LaBelle, season three of Greenleaf will see the introduction of Beau Bridges (Masters of Sex) and Fix My Life host Iyanla Vanzant.
Season three of Greenleaf will premiere Tuesday, August 28th and Wednesday, August 29th, at 10:00 on both nights. The series will then air Wednesdays at 10:00 for the remainder of the season.
