Alex Kingston of Doctor Who fame guest stars in the March 20 episode of The CW’s Arrow as the mother of Laurel Lance, Katie Cassidy’s character.
She is the second major Doctor Who alum to appear on the series, following in the footsteps of John Barrowman, who plays Tommy Merlyn’s father, Malcolm, better known as the “Dark Archer.”
Although she made an appearance at the tail end of the most recent show, the episode called “The Huntress Returns” is her first full-on appearance on the show, and it should have serious repercussions for many characters. It also makes one wonder if her character has a similar background when compared to the comic book counterpart of Dinah Laurel Lance’s mother.
