This morning comes news that CBS Sunday night staple God Friended Me will not be getting a Season 3 as CBS has decided to cancel the show after two seasons. This decision comes at a time that allows the producers to wrap up the series in a two-hour series finale to air on April 26. The inspirational series with its fictional “God Account” which took its lead characters to people in need starred Brandon Micheal Hall, Violett Beane, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, Joe Morton and Erica Gimpel.
“We’re extremely proud of the unique concept and uplifting stories God Friended Me has told over the past two seasons,” CBS and Warner Bros. Television said in a joint statement. “We thank the brilliant cast, writers, production team and crew for a show that stirred thoughtful conversation about faith, life and happiness, and made viewers feel good at the end of each episode. The creative team behind the show has one last “friend suggestion” in mind, as well as an ending we hope brings a satisfying conclusion to Miles’ journey in search of the God Account.”
With all that has been going on in the world, one would have thought that the production shutdown would help the chances for a bubble show like this one. Now, all eyes will go to All Rise, another WBTV production that airs on CBS — perhaps God Friended Me’s loss will open the door for All Rise Season 2.
Normally, CBS would reveal their next season’s schedule in May, but with the current pandemic situation, we will see if that happens.

I hate how CBS jerked around GotFriended Me for many one time junk shows on sunday at 8pm.
The show from my point of view had a loyal following.
Who knows what the XXXX’s at CBS with come up with in its place.
Right now I forget TV on Wednesday & Thursday , since CBS puts crap on those days. Now add sundays to my list.
