Monday, May 11 brings the official Season 2 premiere for Girl Meets World on the Disney Channel, and the network does not waste any time in bringing in some classic favorites from the original show.
Five new episodes of Girl Meets World will be airing that week.
The season premiere, airing on May 11, is called “Girl Meets Gravity,” and in it, Riley and Maya are anxious to begin eighth grade and have a new teacher, that isn’t Riley’s father. Meanwhile, Mrs. Svorski asks Topanga to take over at the bakery. Cloris Leachman returns as Mrs. Svorski but that’s not the biggest news – William Daniels is back as a still-alive Mr. Feeney!
Tuesday, May 12 brings us “Girl Meets New World,” where Riley and Lucas’s classmates are curious as to what’s going on with their relationship, which ultimately confuses them more than ever before.
The next night, Wednesday, May 13, brings us “Girl Meets The Secret Of Life.” In that episode, a new student from Texas turns out to be an old friend of Lucas. But, the Lucas of the past isn’t the Lucas who the friends have come to love.
Thursday, May 14 brings another episode with William Daniels as Mr. Feeney and in that one, Rider Strong also returns as Shawn Hunter. In “Girl Meets Pluto,” Cory, Topanga, Shawn, Riley and Maya travel to Philadelphia to dig up a time capsule that Cory, Topanga and Shawn buried 15 years ago which prompts the kids decide to create and bury one of their own.
Finally, on May 15, the Disney Channel airs “Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels.” When Riley and Maya get into a fight, Cory enlists the help of his brother, Eric, to be a mediator. Yes, it’s happening: Will Friedle guest stars as Eric Matthews.
With stars from the classic series joining the new generation, it seems that Girl Meets World will be the show to watch this May.
