Deadline is reporting that Battlestar Galactica alum Kandyse McClure has joined the cast of Syfy’s upcoming paranormal drama Ghost Wars. In a series regular capacity, she’ll be playing Landis Baker, a scientist working in a town where strange things have been happening.
From Simon Barry (Continuum), Ghost Wars centers on a tiny Alaska town overrun by paranormal forces. Their lone hope at survival resides in local outcast Roman Mercer (Avan Jogia), whose repressed psychic powers will be the key to saving everyone from the mass haunting threatening to burn their town to the ground. However, Roman will have to conquer his own personal demons before he has any shot at keeping the town that’s ostracized him for as long as he could remember from collapsing around him.
In addition to her role on the Syfy space opera, McClure has appeared on the likes of Hemlock Grove, Persons Unknown, and Sanctuary. She joins a cast that includes Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), and Kristin Lehman (Motive).
Ghost Wars is set to premiere later this year on Syfy.
