Could we be having some witches in a secret circle and a dash[iell] of coffee on The CW this Fall?
The latest print edition of The Hollywood Reporter takes a look at the chances for several pilots, and perhaps unsurprisingly, The Secret Circle produced by Kevin Williamson tops their list. “Close as they come to a lock, with The Vampire Diaries’ Kevin Williamson adding pull,” the trade says.
“Strong supernatural elements” are said to be making the angel show Heavenly “a contender,” and THR points out that the project has fans at the network.
THR notes that the cops-and-fashion drama Cooper & Stone doesn’t look like anything else on The CW, which is a plus, but notes that not all of the talk has been particularly positive. Like Deadline.com, they say that the Josh Schwartz-produced Hart of Dixie has led many to question the believability of Rachel Bilson as a doctor.
The THR feature does not mention the pretty-zombies show Awakening at all.
The new Hollywood Reporter should be hitting newsstands and subscriber mailboxes now.
Thanks to Dawn for the tip!

Considering there’s really only talk of two news shows, perhaps Hellcats will be spared.
Sadly with the ratings for Hellcats lately, I’m not so sure. It’s too bad, though. It’s a fun show with some good people in front of and behind the camera.
