One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn may have something on The CW beyond OTH’s ending, and J.J. Abrams, whose put his production stamp on several shows in recent times, will be signing on as a producer – his first production in The CW’s history.
The news came today from Deadline.com, who revealed that the project they sold and have a script commitment for is tentatively titled Maine. It’s a drama based at an inn in Maine and is about the guests of the hotel and the staff. Hotel meets Gilmore Girls meets Newhart?
Abrams and Schwahn will be executive producers along with Bryan Burk of Bad Robot.
Let’s hope there are some supernatural elements at least. Us? We’re waiting for Deadman updates already… and hoping that project doesn’t disappear like Raven did.
