Judd Hirsch is well known for his role as cabbie Alex Rieger on Taxi; on Wednesday, July 30, he plays a cabbie yet again in Sharknado 2, the sequel to last year’s surprise Syfy hit.
What would bring an actor of his acclaim to the world of Sharknado?
“I always think I never grow up enough not to do that,” Hirsch said at this year’s TCA press tour, where he was in attendance to promote his new TV show, Forever.
His actual reason for doing the movie was a lot simpler: “They told me I was going to be eaten by a shark. I said, ‘I’m in.’ I didn’t know how, but yeah,” he said.
