The world is not done with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, as it was confirmed today (via EW) that he will be making a “heavily improvised” cameo appearance in the upcoming spinoff from The Boys titled Gen V. Ackles himself dropped news of this at a convention back in April, but now thanks to EW, it is officially confirmed.
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke implied that he was leaving things open for a Soldier Boy reappearance at some point.
“The old TV adage is like, never kill anyone unless you really, really have to. Never close a door, open a window,” he told EW in an interview earlier this year. “We’ll all have to wait and see, but I can’t imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance.”
