I know of certain people (one particular mod who will remain nameless) doesn't feel that it's right that Lois be in Smallville. However, she was there in the comic books, though certainly not as often as on the show and this show is not canon after all. I personally thought it was the best thing they did when they brought in her character. Erica does an amazing job of it and adds the right touches. Lois adds so much more depth to this show, I feel as well as some much needed humor. The chemistry between her and Clark is perfection personified. They bring out the best in each other, though unwilling as they "seem". I much prefer the episodes where they include Lois. This particular episode was perfect for her personality and showed a lot of intelligence on her part. Good job, writers! She was the best part of this episode, of which otherwise I only thought just okay.

I do give this version of lois credit for trying to fight Titan, that was good. Her being face down on the mat was even better, ClarkMan probably saved her from death yet once again. She probably doesn't even know what hit her. (the red costume was from her street-whore look when she tried to seduce Clark a few weeks back and failed)

Coming back to Combat, I think Lois was written wonderfully. Erica has been awesome the entire season but I was honestly surprised in Combat. Her reporter side has progressed gradually and consistently and I am glad she got her byline in the end. It was truly well deserved after all the trouble she went through and the efforts she made.Last edited by Farm_Girl; 03-23-2007, 07:13 AM.Comment

ED/Lois was indeed a rocker in the ep. The one shining moment, if I have to choose one, is that she did not open Chloe's PC and snoop; something you can bet Mrs. Luthor would do without thinking (but then she does many things without thinking).
Oh, and the nearly lesbian kiss had me bouncing around as wellComment

Yeah, she was great in this episode. Incredibly ILL. Love the fact that she considered snooping in Chloe's laptop, but stopped herself. Also love that it took her two seconds to put together something that took Clark the whole episode to do (and Chloe numerous hours on servers & she still couldn't manage).
The "story" she came up with to get into the base was pretty funny, since it was directly related to her previous 'undercover' work in "Exposed". I was amused by that. I also loved that she kicked that girl's butt & then didn't hesitate to jump on Titan even after she saw what he did to Clark.
Gotta love Lois.Comment

Okay. I loved Erica in the episode. Lois Lane rocked once again. Not only did Erica look beautiful but Lois was written great as a reporter in the episode.
I loved the fact that Lois didn't open Chloe's PC although she was tempted to. Despite of her investigative instincts killing her, she didn't do something unethical.
Plus, it was so awesome that Lois looked at the picture and instantly figured out the address. I think her investigative skills are getting polished as time is passing. Can't wait to see her at the Planet.
I loved the entire Lois fight scenes too, her knack for getting into trouble is what makes her Lois Lane. Interestingly, Erica said the same thing a while ago in her interview in the Smallville magazine.
Anyway, I loved Erica/Lois comeback episode.
And I am sure all of you noticed Erica's hair looked much darker and brown in the entire episode.
I loved when she said her daddy was proud of her after kicking Athena's butt! She played along with Athena's game as long as it was useful for her story, but then she showed her true feelings. And she definitely knows how to fight!
As some others have said Lois' ability to get herself in and out of trouble is part of what makes her character so great! It definitely takes a special type of person to go out and take risks knowing that they don't have any super powers to protect them, and not expecting anyone else to rescue them. In fact she can't stand when someone else rescues her. She prides herself on her ability to take care of herself. Love it! I was thrilled that she was FINALLY back!Comment
