Plastique was made a hero even though in most depictions including in comics she's a villain.
So I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility considering plastique but I'm hoping not.

In the comics no but for the show I could definitely see him as an antagonist but not necessarily a villain.

Batman reference

I thought there was a Batman reference too, but I went back severl times and Wells says "That man" so quick it sounds like Batman. I seriously geeked out though when I thought he said "Batman".
