Okay I'm okay with that though I would prefer it was connected just because I actually loved most of the movies in the DC Films Universe.

I'm interested to see their take on Brainiac. Not being a reader of comics, my exposure to Brainiac was through Smallville and I enjoyed James Marsters' performance.

Anyway, I'm getting more excited about this series, with each new trailer!

Apparently, the executive in question was Geoff Johns.

This show at first was supposed to belong in the same continuity with Man of Steel. The tone and some of the storylines have some similarities. David Goyer's presence on the show was for that very reason. So in that regard, Cameron Cuffe and Wallis Day being Superman's grandparents made sense if Superman is going to look like Henry Cavill.

The problem is what Ray Fisher pointed out on Twitter. How does the concept of Krypton and Man of Steel being connected work if the Zods on the tv show are black and Zod on the movie is Michael Shannon? And keep in mind that one of the Zods of the tv show is the General himself. Played by Colin Salmon. So someone at DC was clearly full of BS here.

Honestly, the more Ray Fisher talks, the worse Geoff Johns and the rest of the DC movies honchos look.
