In the comics Komodo is a businessman that owns Stellmoor International. Merlyn is a mercenary. In the show Merlyn owns Merlyn global and is a businessman and Komodo is the mercenary.

Stellmoor International is the company that Isabel Rochev worked for in Season 2.

Ya i agree. a fresh start would have been good. Not that i hated man of steel but if they did christian bale as batman and Routh as superman and then brought them together for batman vs superman that would have been cool. then use the CW flash and green arrow. now that would make a good justice league movie. And while i like tom welling too in my head these new CW heroe shows and smallville are alternate universes which i wouldnt mind another mirror box combining the 2 worlds with both versions of each character meeting up.
