  • #1.16 "Superhero"

The Tomorrow People is now on Mondays! Might that get more people posting here?

Either way, count down, talk live, and let this be the episode thread once it's done!

One of the best episodes this season, sadly I think the move to Monday nights will hurt in the ratings. Hopefully this episode is a lead up to something bigger and not just a one shot thing.

I diddnt really like the superhero angle, but it was a great episode.
Hilary hitting on Stephen was fun. And the ending was damn exciting.
I´m curious if Stephen goes against Jedikiah now that he has found his father or make up an excuse that he only talked to the tomorrow people for finding his dad or something so that he can remain working at Ultra.

I actually like the Superhero angle, if(and this is a big assumption since I don't think it will happen) their is a second season I would like to see them go in that direction

I loved it. Liked Russell having more.

Don't like Monday move as it is at the same time as Being Human. I am now having to watch it on X-Box. Which is fine until my stream buggers up. Plus I miss Amell night.
            Liked the Superhero angle.
            Russell great as always.
            Hilary was also good.
Much rather see Astrid/Stephen then Hilary/Stephen though.

I liked the superhero angle too. The episode was real fun and agree Russell was great again. I just love his character....not too much angst with him.
I'm pretty neutral having Stephen with Astrid or Hilary right now....it's better than him with Cara.

Actually, I read that the show did fairly well in the ratings it's first Monday night. I mean, not spectacularly obviously, but better than the show that was airing in that time slot previously (Beauty and the Beast) and I believe better than the Wed. time slot? I think the move to Monday might actually help (especially seeing as how TTP seems to be a show 'on the bubble' of cancellation.

As for the episode itself, anyone else think it was ironic that they did a superhero episode with Robbie Amell and didn't even make one "Arrow" joke? I mean, his cousin plays a superhero on TV, literally airing (until this past ep.) right before the show. How can you not at least make an obscure reference to that!?

John and Cara back together. But for how long?

So the device is to find Roger's body? Why would he build something to find his body? Did he know he was going to die?

The rose calling card. Very nice.

I liked the further backstory for Russell and it fit that he used his powers to gamble (though he should have realized that the casino would catch on).

Wow, Stephen did a silly thing, leaving that bracelet behind. Sometimes I wonder about him--like he's subconsciously trying to get caught or something?

Morgan's pregnant?! That was a huge reveal. Jed's going to be a father. Wow. And with a Tomorrow person? Did not see that coming.

The backstory on Hilary. While I'm thrilled to give her more depth, her story also seemed sort of...cookie cutter to me?

Cara playing at being the Red Avenger. She really does need to loosen up. I thought, when she took over as leader, she was going to be good but she's really struggled. I wish John was back in charge.

Hilary and Stephen kissing came out of nowhere. She hated him just a few episodes ago!

Then the end--Stephen finally found his Dad's body (at last!). But Jed catches him. Where do they go from here?

The other thing is I'm actually a bit surprised that it took this long to do a story about one of the TTP being a superhero. I've always thought that one of them, upon discovering their powers, would decide to use them that way. It was nice to finally see that touched on.
