August could have chosen to wear color contacts and change his look though. He did run away into temptations once he came into our world, after all. He could have changed his appearance so he wouldn't have to be reminded of his past.

It is just a matter of opinion, really, but I do believe there is something really wrong when the viewers have to fill in the blanks for something the writers, directors and producers should have told us. We should never have to find explanations on why the August's eyes are from a different color and why he doesn't look like Pinocchio. The show should give us this explanation, or they should have done a better choice with casting.

Honestly, I think they chose an actor that had nothing to do with Pinocchio and who looked like Rumple's son on purpose in order to mislead us, and they didn't care at all if it made sense or not. I really doubt they are ever going to care about explaining it. They are just going to let us fill in the blanks for them.

Clearly, the physical appearance of Pinocchio and August was meant to be a red herring the whole time.

Yeah, but it still doesn't explain the eye color change. Pinocchio's were brown August's are blue.

The explanation is simple: bad casting choice.

Pinocchoi has had one hell of a life!!! He started out life as a seed, grew into a tree, cut down and carved into a puppet, became a living puppet, has been a donkey, died as a puppet, brought back to life as a real boy, got sent to the real world, and was probably raised as a foster child. Why would eye color or hair color surpise anybody????

Regina said she found David because she had gone back to her office because she left her phone there. There were no cell phones in 1983!!!! Storybrooke residents still use rotary phones 2012!

Unless they werent really there for 30 years and the curse time jumped them to 2010 or something. But agian Regina got her cell phone from fairytale land where they are much more advanced and stuck it in her pocket before the jump. Or she contacted Stitch from outspace and he made her one with his advanced technological skills. You can always explain futuristic things in the past by bringing in aliens haha.
