"Have I entered an alternate universe where Stefan is fun?"
There are times when I hate drama in a tv show. Then there are times like this where the drama is executed perfectly. I'm still kinda in awe about everything that has happened. Tyler and Matt's fight. Stefan and Elena. Jenna and Alaric. And now Uncle John Gilbert. For a character that seems like he is supposed to be hated, I think his character is very....intriguing. The plot unwinds as we learn that he knew Isobel and had a hand in her becoming a vampire. The secrets are well executed to keep you wanting to learn more. The only downside? Well as much as this "new" Stefan is a little fun, I find myself missing the "good" Stefan. I really hope he gets past this "addiction/hunger" he's got.
This episode gets a 9 out of 10 from me.
