It did look sort of lame, but I imagine the headquarters will look better in later episodes. It did remind me of the Kryptonian council though lol.

Maybe the budget for the episode was blown on Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk, and that's why we didn't see a better hq lol. Although of course I think they were attempting to conceal the true nature of The Ring as well.
