Jeff Lima guest stars as Mateo Diaz, the young adult who is searching for a way to escape the life that he has created, including living in a closeted identy and having a secret relationship. Peregrym’s character Maggie Bell may be the solution for Diaz to create a new path.
Lima notably recurs on NBC’s Chicago Fire as Leon Cruz, the younger brother of Joe Cruz portrayed by Joe Minoso. He also starred in HBO’s Show Me a Hero as the love interest and father of the children of Billy Rowen portrayed by Dominique Fishback. Jeff has guest starred on CBS’s Blue Bloods, Netflix’s The Get Down, and NBC’s Taxi Brooklyn.
He is also the grantor of the Jeff Lima Production Award at the prestigious New York University Tisch Graduate Film Program. The annual award will soon open for submissions to find its 5th recipient. The Jeff Lima Production Award is a $10,000 grant given to a Grad Film thesis student or recent alum to shoot a short film project that advances the Latinx presence on screen. The Jeff Lima Production Award aims to support Grad Film student directors and recent alumni whose proposed projects demonstrate integrity to the greater Latinx community through filmmaking by widening the scope of Latinx stories.
