Freeform has released a look at upcoming drama Famous in Love and in it, we see that achieving your dreams can sometimes have unexpected consequences.
Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle and adapted for television by I. Marlene King (Pretty Little Liars), Famous in Love tells the story of college student Paige (Bella Thorne), an aspiring actress who gets her big break by successfully landing a role in a Hollywood blockbuster. It should be the time of her life – the realization of a dream that very few people get to live. However, for all the good that comes into Paige’s life as a result of her audition, she has to deal with the intense pressure that comes with being a working Hollywood actress and having your entire life put on display. Is Paige capable of handling the down side of fame while fulfilling her goal to become an actress? Or will the temptations and stress that come with being a public figure prove too much for her to handle?
In addition to Thorne, Famous in Love stars Carter Jenkins (Unfabulous), Keith Powers (Faking It), Pepi Sonuga (The Fosters), Charlie DePew (The Goldbergs), and Perrey Reeves (Entourage).
Famous in Love is set to premiere in April 2017, where it will follow the final season of Pretty Little Liars.
