With the State of the Union Address airing tonight (March 7) and basketball being a major part of the CBS schedule this month, fans are going to have to wait a bit longer for a new episode of the new series Elsbeth starring Carrie Preston.
A trailer airing after the series premiere revealed the next new episode of the show will be airing on Thursday, April 4. Yes, that’s quite a few weeks away. The promo features clips from an episode titled “A Classic New York Character” but it has not yet been confirmed that that will be the second episode to air.

“A Classic New York Character” – After the loathed Co-Op Board President (guest star Linda Lavin) of a luxury pre-war building falls off her balcony to her death, Elsbeth and Kaya are called to the scene to dig for a lead. Things take a shocking turn when the team suspects more than one of her potential enemies could have been behind the murder, including her resident son and Joann (guest star Jane Krakowski), a high-powered Manhattan real estate broker with huge clients and even bigger secrets. “Reality Shock” – When a larger-than-life reality TV star is found dead in her bathtub, Elsbeth and Kaya investigate the circumstances around her death to determine if it was an accident or murder.
