Steven finding Adam should be an event for the entire Carrington family to rally around. Theoretically, it should begin healing the rift between Blake and Alexis, while Fallon and Steven could use as much support as they can get in their quest to survive being a Carrington. Finding Adam would make the family feel whole again and give them a much needed boost of positivity, something that’s been in short supply recently thanks to fake husbands, immigration scares, wedding schemes, surprise returns, cancer crises, and every other bit of madness that the Carringtons have come up against. But just bringing a man who claims to be the lost Adam Carrington isn’t going to be enough to convince all the Carringtons that this is part of their brood.
On tonight’s episode of Dynasty, Steven brings Adam around the family, thinking that he’s done something that could bring them all together again. However, Fallon is understandably dumbfounded given that she wasn’t informed that there ever was an Adam Carrington and she just dealt with someone who wasn’t who they initially said they were in Liam, while Blake straight up denies that the man who stands before him is his son. Considering their status and notoriety within Atlanta society, the Carringtons have had to be protective in terms of who they let get close to them, so Blake’s reticence at accepting what Steven is telling him has as much to do with protecting the family as it does with protecting his heart. With this type of resistance, though, what will it take for Adam to prove his identity to the rest of the Carringtons? And if the actual Adam Carrington isn’t standing before us, where could he be?
Elsewhere on Dynasty, Fallon reaches into her bag of tricks to help Culhane hang on to his job, while Blake bucks at the possibility of taking Carrington Atlantic in a new direction.
Dynasty airs tonight at 8:00 on The CW.
