DC Universe has released an official description for the fourth episode of Doom Patrol which features Supernatural’s Mark Sheppard as “Willoughby Kipling,” a John Constantine-like character from the Grant Morrison era of the comics.
The episode is called “Cult Patrol.” Here’s how they describe it.
As the team recovers from the fight at Fuchtopia, Willoughby Kipling (guest star Mark Sheppard), a magician and an old friend of Niles Caulder’s, unexpectedly conscripts the Doom Patrol into helping him avert the end of the world by stopping a nihilistic cult. Unfortunately though, the Doom Patrol fails and the Apocalypse begins!
Also guest starring in Doom Patrol Episode 4 are Ted Sutherland (Rise) as Elliott Patterson and Lilli Birdsell as Martha/Mother Archon. Dare we to hope for a “Martha? Why did you say that name” joke? I mean, if any show is ever going to do it…
Chris Dingess and Marcus Dalzine wrote the episode which is directed by Stefan Pleszcynski.
UPDATE: Better late than never… even though the episode premiered this past Friday, DC Universe has released a few stills from the episode! Enjoy:
