Hours before a Green Arrow television project titled Arrow was revealed, we caught up with The CW’s President Mark Pedowitz to ask him about the status of DC Comics projects at the network — which was something that he touched upon as a thing to do at last summer’s Television Critics Association press tour.
“Right now, we’re waiting to see the pilot script from Supernatural’s Eric Kripke on Deadman,” Pedowitz told KSiteTV’s Craig Byrne, “and there might be other characters out there.”
Not tipping his hand about Arrow developments, he said that The CW is “without question” looking into the DC Comics library of characters. The fact that Deadman is still a possibility is encouraging, as not a lot of talk has been heard about the project as of late, and some might have worried it would disappear silently like Raven did.
On a completely different note, when asked if he had a specific new series from this past season that he was particularly proud of, Pedowitz refused to play favorites. “I’m proud of the fact that we were able to launch Ringer, Secret Circle, and Hart of Dixie. And I can’t show any favoritism to any of my children,” he said.
Stay tuned to KSiteTV in the coming days for more TCA 2012 CW content!
