TNT has announced that they are going forward with several pilots, but there’s one in particular that catches my attention.
DALLAS – Executive producer Cynthia Cidre, writer of the acclaimed film The Mambo Kings and creator/executive producer of the TV series Cane, has crafted an update of the long-running series about the Ewings of Southfork, whose betrayals, jealousies and passions have made them famous. The story focuses on the offspring of bitter rivals and brothers JR and Bobby Ewing, who clash over the future of the Ewing dynasty while the fate of Southfork itself weighs in the balance. This project, based upon the iconic series created by David Jacobs, comes to TNT from Warner Horizon Television.
For years I’ve thought DALLAS, because of its multi-generational storyline and structure, would be perfect fodder for a series revival, if any classic series had to be revived or sequelized. It even came in #1 on a list I wrote over a year ago. Hopefully original series stars will be present as the “older generation.” Either way, you can be sure I will be watching if this goes to series. Don’t mess this up, TNT!

Thank god its TNT and not a network show
I just finished watching the end of Season 2 of Dallas and my daughter said it could the summer of 2014 before it comes back on again. This would be a mistake because people would loose interest and attention of your audience if it was that long to wait to see the show again. I hope she is wrong about this. Can you let me know when it will begin again?
