Criminal Minds Season 16 — or, as Paramount+ is calling it, Criminal Minds: Evolution — is back on Thursday, November 24 with two back-to-back episodes. If you don’t have Paramount+, the first episode can be seen on CBS for one night only, that same night. Here’s how the premiere episode “Just Getting Started” is described:
When a family annihilator abducts a teen girl, the Behavioral Analysis Unit works the case on either side of the country to save her. But an unlikely connection to a mysterious kit leads to a bigger investigation, and at the center of it is Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). Written by Erica Messer and directed by Nelson McCormick.

As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time. Original cast members continuing their roles include Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster. Zach Gilford joins the dynamic cast as a recurring guest star in a season-long arc.
