Actor David Gyasi (Interstellar, Cloud Atlas) stars as Major Lex Carnahan in The CW’s new virus outbreak thriller Containment.
The series is based on a Belgian series called Cordon and was brought to American TV by producer extraordinaire Julie Plec. If you missed last week’s airing of the David Nutter-directed pilot, find a way to check it out, because the second episode airs tonight (April 26) at 9PM on The CW.

Late last year we were able to visit the Atlanta studio where Containment was filmed and spoke with Mr. Gyasi and other members of the cast. Those interviews will be posted and spread out throughout the season, but today, the spotlight goes to “Major Carnahan” himself, as the group of journalists on set asked him about his approach to the role, how Lex might react to Jake and Jana being inside the cordon together, Carnahan’s responsibility, and if virus outbreaks are scarier than Daleks.
Watch the video below, and if you’re not watching Containment already, you should, as we highly recommend it.
